Professor Sitara Parvin Award

Professor Sitara Parvin Trust was formed in 2006 with the objective of awarding 10 top ranking graduate students of Mass Communication and Journalism. Accordingly, Professor Sitara Parvin award giving began in 2007.

Dr. Sitara Parvin, the former Professor of Mass Communication and Journalism, died in a road accident in the USA on June 23, 2005. She was the daughter of former President Justice Shahabuddin Ahmed and wife of Dr. Ahaduzzaman M. Ali, Professor of Mass Communication and Journalism at the University of Dhaka.
