Conference & Seminar

The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism is one of the most vibrant departments of the university. It arranges seminars, public lectures and other programs where specialists from home and abroad can share their views and ideas with students and the broader community. The speakers of the seminars not only includes the academicians but also a number of professionals come to enlighten the audience with their experience in fields ranging from national and international mediascape to concerned sectors of the government. In several occasions, the seminars are organized in collaboration with renowned government and non-government organizations. A series of seminar lectures has also been introduced where the students get to hear from one or more key speakers who are specialists on the topics they are being taught in the classes of the ongoing semester. The seminars arranged by the department help students to learn beyond the classroom setup and let them think from a wider mindscape.
