The two-day first National Conference titled `Mass Communication and Journalism` held on the 29th and 30th of November at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University (DU).A total of 45 papers from country`s media scholars, students and professionals from print and electronic media and other relevant sectors were presented. Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu was present in the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest while Media Adviser to the Prime Minister, also Editor of The Daily Observer, Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury as special guest, says a press release. DU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. A.A.M.S. Arefin Siddique, Chief Information Commissioner Professor Dr. Golam Rahman, among others, also addressed the function.
